Dog Cages, Crates and Carriers
Here's a huge selection of dog cages, crates and carriers. There are many different designs which are ideal for shows or travelling and also ideal for indoor training. Some dogs feel safer if they have access to an indoor cage or kennel, especially when there is more than one dog in the house. If your dog is inclined to be a bit on anxious side and you've been advised to get a dog cage then you may also find that partly covering the cage will help as well. Leave the door open at first when you're training your dog to go inside and put a few tasty titbits in the cage. Allow the dog to come and go but don't force the issue. If you frighten the dog it's much harder to get back to square one again as you'll have to overcome yet another fear factor. If your dog simply won't have anything to do with the cage don't make an issue of it. Just leave it where the dog can get used it. You can even try getting inside the cage yourself if the cage is large enough. Before long your dog will get used to the cage and will eventually look on it as a sanctuary when the rest of the house is noisy.
