You don't have to be young and fit to enjoy a full and happy life with your dog and there are many activities in which you can participate.
In sports such as agility for instance, less able bodied handlers regularly take part in competition and it's one of the only sports where wheelchair users can compete on level terms with the fittest of handlers and still beat them hands down.

If agility isn't for you then why not go in for something like the Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme or if the fancy takes you, you can try Heelwork To Music (HTM) or doggie dancing. In Dawn Turner's photos left and below the dogs and handlers are taking part in showing and obedience.

There are many activities on offer but
if you have no idea what you want to do then just explore the Dog's Own pages. Each section gives you an overview of the activity you're interested in plus useful resources which will help you to find out more.

Most of all, if you have a dog, have fun and make it a wonderful partnership.
